Erica Elfreida Jackson CMSgt (Ret.), 54, was born on Dec. 22, 1962, in Monticello, Ark., to Willie Earl and Shirley Ann Jackson. She was the oldest of three children and the only daughter. Erica accepted Christ at an early age and joined Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev J.S. Skipper, where she remained a member until she graduated high school in 1981. After high school Erica entered the U.S. Air Force where she served 30 years. During her military service Erica continued to serve God by serving her country and participating in religious activities at her stations. Erica was known and loved by many. She mentored a number of young people in her 30 years of service to country being promoted to Chief Master Sergeant, the highest enlisted rank in the Air Force. Erica answered the master's call to come home Aug. 14, 2017. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Dewitt and Elizabeth Freeman. Those left to cherish her memory and celebrate her home going are: Parents: Willie Earl and Shirley Ann Jackson of Monticello, Ark.; Sons Thomas Wayne Crumpton Jr.(Rahshida) of Moody AFB in Valdosta, Ga.; Eric Jackson Crumpton (Larryne) of Little Rock AFB in Jacksonville, Ark.; Brothers John Jackson of Monticello and Todd (Alnita) Jackson of Raeford, N.C..; Grandmother Ada Everett, six grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20th at Zion Hill MBC. in Monticello.Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21st at First Baptist Church 811 S.A Jones Drive in North Little Rock.
