Syble Inez Kaplon

SYBLE INEZ KAPLON, 79, of North Little Rock passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017. She was born on Sept. 3, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Howard Clay and Alice Simmons May. Syble married the late Valentine Kaplon on July 31, 1954. She went on to work as a data entry operator for the state of Arkansas until her retirement. She was a member of Cedar Heights Baptist Church where she loved attending her Seekers' Sunday School Class. She is survived by her siblings, Ina Lucille Boll (Marvin), Emma Jean Roberts (Curly, predeceased), June Marie Harness (Clytee, predeceased), and Earl May (Chom) and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Valentine Kaplon; her parents; and her half-brother, Raymond Grimes. Memorials may be made to Life Choices, 609 Locust St., Conway, Ark., 72032. A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 21, 2017 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017 at Cedar Heights Baptist Church, 14510 Cedar Heights Road, North Little Rock.
