Peggy Ima Bolden

Mrs. Peggy Bolden, 83, of Bald Knob, Ark., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017. She was born June 11, 1934 in Boiling Springs, N.C., to the late Benny and Ceclia Coggins. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bolden Sr. and two sons, Royce and Roger Bolden. She believed strongly in the Grace and Mercy of the God Almighty. Peggy loved family. She loved being in the country where she could enjoy God's creations. She spent time daily listening to all the sounds in nature, watching the animals, birds and butterflies. She loved the time she got to spend with her dearest friend Catherine Carden and every morning she asked "when is Dovie coming today?" These two were very dear to her heart. She is survived by three daughters, Vivian Holliman of Searcy, Peggy Barnes (William) of McRae, Karron Waller of Bald Knob; three sons, James Bolden Jr. (Peggy) of Toccoa, Georgia, Tony Bolden Sr. of Pennsylvania, Bill Bolden of Searcy; 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Peggy will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 28, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy.
