Wilma Lou McColm Parsons

Wilma Lou McColm Parsons, 84, of Bella Vista, Ark, peacefully went to her heavenly home Monday, August 28, 2017 at Concordia Health and Rehab with her loving husband holding her hand. Wilma was born November 11, 1932 in Monmouth, Kan. to Julia and Earl McColm. She was united in marriage to Robert D. Parsons, July 6, 1951 in McCune, Kan. Wilma worked many jobs throughout Girard, Kan. and Bella Vista and spent her life as a homemaker, loving and caring for her family and friends. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Girard, Kan. and Bella Vista Community Church of Bella Vista. She is preceded in death by her parents, nine siblings and one granddaughter. Wilma is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) D. Parsons of the home; four daughters, Becky (Pat) Ziegler, Lee's Summit, Mo., Anita (Paul) Dyson, St. Petersburg, Fla., Deanna Parsons, Osawatomie, Kan., Kaye (Rodger) Long, Frontenac, Kan.; and one brother, Merle Gene McColm, McCune, Kan. Grandma Wilma cherished her 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren! A celebration of Wilma's Life will be held at Bella Vista Community Church, 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 31st with Dr. Jeff Reed officiating. Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 2nd at McCune, Kansas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 210 N.
