Howard Gordon Highfill Jr.

Howard Gordon Highfill Jr., age 86, of Benton passed away Friday Dec. 1, 2017. He was born Dec. 25, 1930 in Wattensaw, Ark. Howard was a retired electrician at Alcoa and a member of North Side Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Gordon Highfill Sr., and Myrtle White Highfill; his first wife, Geneva Highfill; sister, Joy Faye Duke. Survivors: wife, Melba Highfill, Benton; sons and daughter-in-law, Larry Highfill, Alexander, Terry (Janice) Highfill, Russellville; daughters, Debra Parris, Benton, Gwyn Cook, Alexander; sister, Ida Lou Moory, Jacksonville; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at Ashby's. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with a 12:30 p.m., graveside service at Hebron Cemetery in Carlisle.
