Joe Ann Schultz

Joe Ann Monzingo Schultz, 92, of Magnolia, Ark., passed away on Dec. 1, 2017. She was born on July 30, 1925, in Haile, La., to the late Floyd Edmond and Leona Lankford Monzingo. Joe Ann attended Louisiana Tech University, then transferred and graduated with a BBA from Southern Methodist University. She and her husband, Leon Henry Schultz, were the owners of Home Ice Company and Quic Sac stores in Magnolia for many years. Joe Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Michael Schultz. She is survived by her son, Patrick Schultz and his wife, Gail, of Dallas; daughters, Annette Schultz Helterbran of Dallas and Magnolia and Allison Schultz of Magnolia; three grandchildren, Bo Schultz and his wife, Neha, of Chicago, Laura Schultz of New York City and Ellie Schultz of Chicago; and two great-grandsons, Nathan Ram Schultz and Henry Bowen Schultz, children of Bo and Neha Schultz. Visitation with the family will be Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, from 5-7 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Graveside service will be Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boys and Girls Club of Magnolia, Magnolia Junior Charity League, SAU Foundation, The Salvation Army, or a charity of the donor's choice.
