Hilaire Rousseau

Hilaire "Russ" Rousseau, 84, of Sherwood, died December 5, 2017. He was born August 28, 1933 in Bennington, Vt. Preceded in death by his parents, Hilaire J. Rousseau and Marie Anna Berard Rousseau, and his daughters, Sandra Rousseau and Sharon Davis. He retired from the US Air Force in 1972 and moved to Little Rock, Arkansas. He worked at Timex as an Automation Technician, and also worked at AP&L as a Service Engineer. He was an avid bowler, and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and dancing. He is survived by his two children, Denise Weatherall and Daniel Rousseau; long-time companion, Susie Wofford; his brother, Joseph Rousseau of Hoosic Falls, N.Y.; his sisters, Rejane Danforth of White Hall, N.Y. and Rosalie Scanlon of Cape Coral, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. "I give my sincerest thanks to the organization that provided me with years of support and enjoyment. A group of pretty wonderful people, Parents Without Partners." Visitation will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Pinecrest Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will take place Monday, December 11th at 11 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
