Linda Marie Shook

Ms. Linda Marie Shook, 58, of Shreveport, Louisiana, died on November 8, 2017, following a brief illness. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on June 13, 1959, first child of the late Thomas Eugene and Betty Rice Shook. Linda was a graduate of the Monsignor Francis A. Allen School for Exceptional Children. Linda was blessed to enter Holy Angels Residential Facility in Shreveport, La., in 1985. Holy Angels provided a supportive and caring environment for Linda to thrive as an adult with special needs. While her parents were still living, Linda joined them on holiday trips to beautiful gardens and parks in Louisiana, Texas, and Florida. Linda is survived by her brother, Thomas E. Shook Jr., and his wife, Connie of Richardson, Texas; and their children, Meredith, Thomas, Elizabeth, and Josephine Shook, and by her brother, John O. Shook and his wife, Laura of Little Rock; and their children, Campbell, Conner, and Katherine Shook. Linda is also survived by her stepmother, Margaret Shook and her aunts, Edna Rice and Kay West. Memorials may be made to Holy Angels Residential Facility, 10450 Ellerbe Road, Shreveport, La. 71106. A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Little Rock. The Rite of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday December 16, 2017, at Christ the King Catholic Church and will be officiated by Monsignor Francis I. Malone. Burial alongside her parents will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
