Richard (Dick) Lee Morgan, age 81, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas passed away January 30, 2017at home surrounded by his family. He was born October 26, 1935 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Clarence and Thelma Lou Rose Moore. Richard married the love of his life, Wanda Beam, in Eureka, California when they were both 17 years old. They celebrated their 63rd anniversary in September. Richard worked many years for Molalla Forest Products in Cloverdale, California before moving his family to Arkansas In 1969. He then worked as Grounds Supervisor for the Fayetteville Public School System until his retirement in 1997. One of his favorite pastimes after retiring was sitting on the front porch of the house he built in Prairie Grove or keeping the grass mowed for himself and his neighbor. He was a humble, strong and hardworking man with a deep faith in the Lord. Quick with a helping hand and a chuckle that will never be forgotten. He will be missed by the many people he impacted during his lifetime. Richard is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Moore; his stepfather, Willie Morgan; and his son, Richard (Rick) lee Morgan. Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda Morgan; two daughters, Mickey Drennan (Larry) of Maumelle, Arkansas and Mechelle Morgan McGonigle (Meryl) of Batesville, Arkansas; three granddaughters, Rebecca Morgan of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Angelea Drennan (Billy) of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and Ashley Tinsley (Tasch) of Louisville, Kentucky; one grandson, Dustin King (Amanda) of Cape Coral, Florida; as well as five great-grandsons. No visitation will be held. Services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark. There will be a private burial for family only at Round Mountain Cemetery. The service may be watched live on the Luginbuel Funeral Home website. His family wishes to thank the exceptional people of the Willard Walker Hospice Home for their care and support. Friends and neighbors became a strong support system.
