Eugene Carmel Connard

Eugene Carmel Connard, 80, of Lake Village, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017. He was born October 29, 1936 in Dermott, Arkansas to the late Arvis and Ilar Davis Connard. Eugene served in the United States Air Force. He worked for Alice-Sidney Dryer and Seed Company for over 40 years. Eugene loved to be outdoors and enjoyed working in his yard and his garden. He loved his family, neighbors, and friends. Eugene was a member and served as a deacon at Bellaire Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Betty Lou Morrison Connard; son, Andy (Terri) Connard of Monticello, Ark.; daughter, Kelly (Tad) Keller of Lake Village, Ark.; brother, John (Nadine) Connard of Monticello, Ark.; sisters, Maxine (Charles) Reaves of Fort White, Fla., Margaret Knight of Monticello, Ark., and Lisa (Michael) Golden of Dermott, Ark.; grandchildren, Randi McMahon, Bethany Connard, Courtney Keller, and Claire Keller; great-grandchildren, Aaron McMahon and Nic McMahon. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in Lake Village, Ark. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 at Bellaire Baptist Church in Dermott, Arkansas with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating. Burial will be at Dermott Cemetery.
