Fletcher Benjamin Hartz was born August 22, 2014 in Conway, Arkansas to Ben Hartz and Nicole Engelkes Hartz of Little Rock, Arkansas. Fletcher entered his eternal reward on February 1, 2017. Fletcher was a somewhat shy, somewhat sly, brown-headed bruiser that was destined to give the girls fits. He loved his sister Caroline very much, but also delighted in pestering her. Fletcher was a lover of the great outdoors, and felt right at home there, especially at his beloved Crooked Creek. Fletcher was destined to be an engineer. Most toys held no fascination for him, but did he ever love electronic switches and whatever they operated. Unlike most children his age, he would sit and watch the electric train for long periods without ever trying to grab it or knock it off the rails. He also delighted in games of "gobble-gobble" go seek with Caroline, his cousins and other friends. In addition to his immediate family, Fletcher is survived by his great-grandmother, Sarah B. Hartz of Stuttgart; grandparents: Jack and Cheryl Engelkes of Conway, and Greg and Janet Hartz of Little Rock; aunts and uncles: Meredith and Luke Shelton of Little Rock, and Abby and Gracie Engelkes of Conway; and cousins: Jake and Hunter Shelton of Little Rock. Prayer vigil will be at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church on February 2, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. with visitation immediately following. We will celebrate Fletcher's life with a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 3rd, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donates should be made to the St. Mark's Episcopal Day School. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.
