Fred W Fewell

Fred W. Fewell, age 82, of North Little Rock passed away on Feb. 1, 2017. Born Dec. 20, 1934 to the late Fred and Georgia Fewell, Fred was an outgoing, fun-loving family man. He loved his country, family, football, and fresh tomatoes. After graduating in the class of 1952 from North Little Rock High School, he began what would become a distinguished military career. He served in the Navy, then served for several years in the Army Reserves. Upon returning home, he went on to attend Arkansas State Teacher's College, graduating with a Bachelor's of Science Degree. He worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal and then retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers in 1989. He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings Betty Jo, Jeanette, and Shelby. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 52 years, Martha Fewell; daughters Maria (Joe) Wright and Amy (Rick) Keach; three grandsons, Justin Wright, Alex and Aidan Keach, numerous nieces and nephews, and anyone fortunate enough to call him friend. His celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas with a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the evening prior. Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017 at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery, North Little Rock.
