Patrick H. Wootton

Rev. Patrick H. Wootton, age 90, of Benton; entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 5, 2017. He was born July 14, 1926 in Paris, Arkansas to Tandy and Rebecca Sebourn Wootton. Bro. Wootton was an Assemblies of God minister since November 1950. He also pastored for over 50 years; Calvary Assembly of God in Benton was his last. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 1/2 years, Dorothy Phillips Wootton; his parents; five brothers and one sister. Bro. Wootton is survived by his daughter, Sharon (Curt) McCormack; son, Steven Wootton all of Benton; the joy of his life: two granddaughters, Summer (Steven) Hampton of Jonesboro and Sunni (Josh) Ackley of Benton; his pride and joy: two great-grandsons, his name sake, Maddux Patrick Hampton and Tydus Joshua Ackley; sister, Ruby Duncan and a brother, J.R. Wootton. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 7 at Ashby Funeral Home. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 8 at the 1st Assembly of God on Hwy. 5 in Benton. Gene Huskey and Sharon McCormack will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the 1st Assembly of God at 1801 Hot Springs Hwy in Benton, Ark. 72019.
