Billy Hugh Ward

Billy Hugh Ward, 88, died Monday, February 6, 2017. He was born January 31, 1929 in Strawberry to the late Owen E. and Juddie (Bennett) Ward. He was the owner of Ward Auto Sales; he sold farm equipment and vehicles for many years. He enjoyed farming and riding horses. He was a member of the Lifeline Southern Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 67 years, Lois (Lucy) Ward; his beloved children, Linda Kay Pearson (Robert) of Bald Knob, Kenny H. Ward of Bald Knob, Billie LaJeana Kohler (Brian) of Alexander and LaHonna Suzanne Ward of Bald Knob; four wonderful grandchildren, Danny Phillips, Tyler Ward, Joshua Root and Vinni Zomant (Cassi); a brother, Jerry Ward of Strawberry; three sisters, Geraldine Poskey of Strawberry, Clella Bellefeuille (Bob) of Poway, Calif. and Marilyn Adcock (Joe) of Macon, Ga.; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Danny Hugh Ward; three siblings, Ed and Tony Ward and Delores Lepper all of Batesville. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:30-2 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob. Services will immediately begin at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery Steward Addition.
