Irma Jewell Johnson

Irma Jewell Johnson, age 83, of Paron died peacefully on February 7, 2017. She was born November 24, 1933 and was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church of Paron. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Edna Bearden and siblings; Lois O'Neal, Gladys Tidwell, Gene Bearden, Blakley Bearden, Rodney Bearden, Narri Bearden, Pauline and Arlene Bearden. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Johnson, of Paron, to whom she had been married to for 65 years. Six children, two sons and four daughters, Dale Johnson, of Friendship; James (Betty) Johnson of Alexander; Ramona (Don) Benham, Erma (Ricky) Lockridge, Sandra (Daniel) McPherson, Zelda (Bill) Gestring, of Benton; two brothers, Marvin (Margie)Bearden, Ira (Ruth) Bearden, three sisters, Blanche (Jim) Record, Belle Chasse, Louisiana; Maudie Canada, Benton; Mary B (Russell) Bigelow of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Paron, Arkansas with Bro. Marcus Blakley officiating.
