James "Leon" Clark

James "Leon" Clark passed away February 1, 2017. Leon entered the John McClellan VA Hospital with a lung infection from medication. Leon was born September 2, 1934 at Vilonia, Ark. to John Wesley And Emma Florence Clark, the eighth child of ten. Preceding Leon was his parents; brothers, Olen, Henry and Harrell and sisters, Leona (Willie) Nbarrong, Ozell (Hershel) Trammel, Marlena (William) Abernathy, and Mary (Richard) Jones. Survivors are Gladys Clark, wife of sixty one years; two daughters, Judy Clark and Sandra (Chal) Davis; three grandsons, Nicholas, Jessie (Cassie), Alex (Robin) Scholes; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Mason Scholes; two sisters Mada Belew and Maxine (Milo) Smith and many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. Leon graduated from Altheimer High School in 1954. He loved his high school days, playing basketball and being with his classmates. Leon joined the Army in 1955 and served in Formosa (Taiwan). Leon enjoyed his hobbies of fishing and hunting almost daily after his retirement from the Pine Bluff Arsenal. He loved being with his family at all times. There will be no services at this time.
