Martha Jane Cobb

Martha Jane Cobb, age 74, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away on Sunday February 5, 2017. Born to the late Mildred and L.A. Simpson on May 28, 1942 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Martha traveled with her husband of 55 years Eddie Cobb before settling back in Arkansas where they raised their 6 children. Martha will be remembered for her love of cooking, music and her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She always said her best times were when she was together with her six children. She is survived by her husband, Edward Cobb of Sherwood; six children, Andy (Lise') Cobb of Maumelle, Kelly Sherrill of Vail, Colorado, Polly (Ronnie) Hastings of Sherwood, Jamie (Sara) Cobb of Cabot, Penny (John) Burkhalter of Little Rock and Casey Cobb of Tulsa, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Jace Reed, Sara Jane Reed, Courtney Cobb, Chase Cobb, Johnna Kay Burkhalter, Anna Grace Burkhalter and Carson Cobb; five great-grandchildren, Jack and Jett Reed, Corbin Cobb, Elijah Bennett and Arabella Cobb; aunt, Jean Featherston of Houston, Texas; cousins, Candace (Danny) Beaver of Houston, Texas, Robert (Debbie) Featherston of Texas. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Terry Hastings and John Burkhalter officiating.
