Matthew Lee Pennington

Matthew Lee Pennington age 85, of Warren, Ark. died Tuesday, February 7th, at his home. He was born November 10th, 1931 in Bradley County, Ark. a son of the late Verner Franklin Pennington and Ruby Green Pennington. He was a retired butcher for Aubert Reynolds Grocery and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Cooper Pennington whom he married November 17th, 1951 and she passed away May 17th, 2005 and a sister Ann Taylor. He is survived by his son, Dr. Kerry Pennington and spouse Debbie, Warren, Ark. and his daughter Rhonda Simmons and spouse Joe Gary, Warren, Ark. A sister, Shirley Ashcraft, Warren, Ark.; six grandchildren, Emily Harton and spouse Bobby, Brooke Hatch and spouse Duncan, Elizabeth McKinney and spouse Reid, Matthew Davis Pennington, Courtland Ashcraft and Chase Ashcraft; seven great-grandchildren. Graveside services 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 9th at Oakland Cemetery. Burial in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation: 12:30 p.m. till service time at Frazer's Funeral Home.
