Dwight Jasper Laird

Dwight Jasper Laird, 65, of Bentonville passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017. He was born on September 9, 1951 in Huntsville to the late Mary Ellen Stienberger Laird and Marvin Jasper Laird. For more than 43 years he was the loving husband of Barbara Laird who preceded him. Dwight spent a lifetime in service coaching Tee ball and Little League, active as a Boy Scout leader and as a helpful friend to those at work or knew him. He loved a good practical joke as much as hunting, fishing, times shared with his grandchildren or watching his Razorbacks. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded by a sister, Judy Laird and a brother, Russell Laird. Survivors include his son, Matt Laird of Pea Ridge; a sister, Debbie Siverly (Jeff) of Forum; his brothers, Paul Laird (Donna) and Bob Laird all of Rogers and Harold Laird (Rita) of Pea Ridge; daughter-in-law, Charice Laird of Bentonville; his grandchildren, Hannah, Mason and Caitlyn; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. The Graveside Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, February 11, 2017 in Bentonville Cemetery.
