Bealin Gibby

Major (Ret.) Bealin Gibby, age 81, of Springfield, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017. He was born August 12, 1935 in Cleveland, Arkansas, a son of Perry Arthur Gibby and Lecter Jane Guinn Gibby. He had a distinguished history of over 25 years of meritorious service to his country in both the Army and Air Force, receiving many awards and decorations, and serving during both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. After his retirement from the Air Force in 1984, he began working for Avis car rental in Colorado Springs, Colorado and again retiring in 2010. He is survived by a son, Ted (Jeannie) Gibby of Springfield; daughter, Traci Mason of Mulberry, Arkansas; son, David Gibby of Springfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; five nieces; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dennis; brother, Larry; and sister, Lovell Maxwell. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, at Lost Corner Cemetery with Bro. John Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
