Breck Joseph Wilson

Breck Joseph Wilson, age 48, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed into eternal rest on February 9th, 2017. Breck was born September 29th, 1968 in Carthage, Mo. He graduated from Carthage High School in 1986. Breck enjoyed skiing, snowboarding and sharing his love of music and movies. He is survived by his father, William J. Wilson and wife Libby Wilson of Carthage, Mo.; mother, Gladys (McSpadden) Wilson of Marin County, Calif.; sons, William Connor Wilson, 18, Connor's mother Lynn Billings, Eagle, Colo.; Liam Gunn Wilson, 14, Liam's mother, Rachel Amayo Lucca, Nashville, Tenn.; beloved fiance'e Heather Horner Overton and her children, Sophie, Olivia and Will Overton of the home; sisters, Piper Wilson Baier (Jeff), their daughters, Susan Harding (Caleb), Devin Denmark (Andrew), Madelyn Baier, Lexington, Ky.; Shannon Wilson (Janine Guillot), San Francisco, Caif.; Amber Wilson (Brian Webb) New York City, and her children, Ally Sutton, Joplin, Mo., Beau Borucki, (fiance'e Kori Hetzel). St. Louis, Mo.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and a world of treasured friends. Breck embraced life with exuberance and "Breck-less" abandon. He was fearless, always welcomed a challenge and was kind to everyone he met. Breck's extreme living afforded him much camaraderie with the friends and family he so dearly loved. As a child, Breck attended First Christian Church. A highlight of his boy scout troop was the 1980 father - son trip to Philmont Ranch in New Mexico, where many lifelong friendships emerged. Another highlight was being on location in Hawaii with his mother Gladys and sister Shannon while filming "Escape from Atlantis" in which Breck had a starring role. He was a member of the Carthage Tigers football team. Breck attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He was pledge chairman of the SAE fraternity. Eventually, he completed a Communication Arts degree, graduating in December 2015. In 1989, he traveled west to Hollywood to continue his tireless pursuit of adventure, forging a career in modeling and acting that spanned 25 years. He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild. The boys inherited their father's love of skiing and music, respectively, exhibiting much talent. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 18th, 2 p.m., at Grace Episcopal Church, 820 Howard, Carthage, Mo. Visitation and story-telling will take place in the church common room immediately following the service. Services are being handled by Kernodle Funeral Home of Wynne, Ark., in cooperation with Knell Mortuary, Carthage, Mo. Ashes will rest eternal in the columbarium at Grace Church, and at Breck's favorite places across the country.
