Betty Fraser, 91, of Conway went to be with the Lord she loved on February 13, 2017. She was married to the late Edward E. Fraser (Turp). She worked at Hendrix College and was Executive Secretary at Nabholz Companies for more than 20 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Conway where she taught Sunday school for 42 years. She was a poet and served as a president of Poets' Round Table of Arkansas. Her poetry has been published in more than 20 publications and anthologies, including the Conway Log Cabin Democrat, Arkansas Gazette, and Ideal Magazine. She was born in Farmington, Iowa to the late James E. and Lottie Young Carr. Survivors are her daughters, Pam Miller of Conway and Val Brison (Jerry) of Newtown, Pa. and a son, Dr. Bob Fraser (Nomie) of Clarksville; eight grandchildren: Trip Miller of Conway, Tracy Scandlyn Ward of Menlo Park, Calif., Julianne Weeks of San Diego, Calif., Toby Brison of Langhorne, Pa., Noah Fraser of Reno, Nev., Matthew Fraser of Russellville, Ark., Adam Fraser of Ft. Smith, Ark., and Hannah Fraser of Clarksville, and 16 great-grandchildren. She treasured her nieces and nephews and their children, along with her cherished friends. The memorial service will be held on Friday, February 17th at First Baptist Church in Conway at 1 p.m., followed by a reception at the church.
