Iris Jean Ferguson

IRIS JEAN OAKLEY FERGUSON, 84, of Little Rock died Monday, February 13, 2017. She was born January 3, 1933 in Gay, Oklahoma to Ira William Oakley and Ruth Joynt Oakley. She was raised in White Hall, Ark. and Tulsa, Okla., and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Iris was employed at the Pine Bluff Arsenal before joining the U.S. Social Security Administration, where she worked until her retirement. Iris was a member of the North Little Rock Woman's Club, and enjoyed cooking, party planning, flower arranging, reading, genealogy, and spending time with her family, neighbors, and friends. Iris is survived by her husband, Owen Ferguson, her son, Todd Ferguson and his wife, Jennifer, and grandchildren, Helen and Mark. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2017 at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street.
