Opal Marie Curtis Shue a resident of Pumpkin Bend departed this life on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the age of 90. Mrs. Shue was born in McCrory on March 23, 1926 the daughter of Robert and Lewie Houston Curtis. In December of 1941 she married Mr. Elzie Shue who preceded her in death on November 27, 2010. Mrs. Shue attended the Church of God in Wynne and the Pumpkin Bend Community Church. She was a caretaker for the Pumpkin Bend Community for those in need. She enjoyed spending time with her family. But, most of all her number one priority was serving the Lord. Mrs. Shue is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lewie Curtis, her husband, Elzie Shue, her son-in-law, Darrell Odom, one brother, Robert L. Curtis, four sisters, Dorothy Mae Curtis, Flora Helen Curtis, Houston Mary Curtis, Grace Virginia (Tuge) Curtis. Mrs. Shue is survived by one daughter, Kaye Odom of Sherwood, one brother, Charles Curtis of Southhaven, two sisters, Lewie Belle Fowler of Weldon, Kathleen (Pat) Sugg of Little Rock, four grandchildren, Shari Kaye Odom Robinson and husband Clarence of Malvern, Malisa Diane Odom Siever and husband Victor of Cabot, Tonya Michelle Odom McDaniel of Sherwood, Jacquelyn AnnAlissa Odom of Sherwood, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 23rd with 2 p.m. funeral services following at the Thompson-Wilson McCrory Funeral Home Chapel.
