ELMER FAY MONTGOMERY, 86, of North Little Rock passed away on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017. He was born Jan. 30, 1931 in Guy, Ark., to Lavern and Kines Glover Montgomery. He served in the United States Army and National Guard for forty two years; he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer (CW4). Fay is a Korean War Veteran and earned a Purple Heart. He was President of the National Federation of Federal Employees in Washington D.C. He also earned an Associate Degree from Draughon School of Business. Fay went into the real estate business after retirement from the military, and was a member of the North Pulaski Board of Realtors. He served as a Deacon with the Levy Church of Christ, and was the leader of the Benevolence Committee for many years. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marian Neighbors Montgomery; sons, Roger, Keith (Dianne) and Patrick Montgomery; granddaughter, Catherine Montgomery; great-granddaughter, Yazmine Kassees and great-step grandchildren, Cody and Alexa King. He is also survived by his brothers; Roy, Bob, Jim and Rick Montgomery and numerous other extended family. Fay was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings; Jerry, Alton, Farrell and Ray Montgomery. A visitation will be held 5–7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2017 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017 at Levy Church of Christ, 5124 Camp Robinson Road, North Little Rock.
