Richard Allen Willams

Richard Allen Williams, 86 of Fayetteville, Ark., died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017. He was born July 22, 1930 in Shawnee, Okla., to Allen Holloway Williams and Marie Beulah (Jarvis) Williams. He grew up in Tempe Ariz., and San Antonio, Texas. He attended both St Mary's and Trinity Universities in San Antonio, where he majored in accounting. He was a member of Tau Delta Sigma fraternity. After retiring from a career in hospital administration he worked for several years as a realtor. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Myrna Hipp, and two grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughters, Joy Prater (John) of Harrison, Ark., Lynda Matthews of Fayetteville, Ark., Donna Meinecke (Jim) of Fayetteville, Ark., Gina Hughes (Clayton) of Tulsa, Okla., 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, mother-in-law Elizabeth Reagan, nine brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, one niece and one nephew. Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27 at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Memorial services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church 224 N.
