Sherri Lynn Turner-Taylor

Sherri Lynn Turner-Taylor, 60, of Marion, AR, formerly of Carlisle, AR passed away peacefully in Batesville, AR with her best friend and daughter by her side on February 24, 2017. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Lou Smith-Dixon; her step-father, Wallace Dixon; her 2 daughters, Jessica and Julie; and her beloved and faithful companion, Dacey. She is survived by her daughters, Emily Burnett of West Memphis, AR, Kelsey Taylor of Coalport, PA; her father, Lester Turner and her step-mother Joan Turner of Carlisle, AR; three step-sisters, Melissa Cotner, Michelle Cotner, and Leslie (Kevin) Lenderman, all of Carlisle, AR; she is also survived by her very best friend and caretaker, Danielle and her husband Roger Huskey of Smithville, AR. She worked for the Mental Health Center for 25 years in West Memphis. When she left there she got her Paralegal Certification and also learned sign language. Sherri loved her girls. They were her pride and joy. She was so proud of them, one being a funeral director and the other an aspiring artist. She was always involved in their lives. She took them to concerts, band competitions, and played "mom" to all of the neighborhood kids. She was always there when her children needed her and was a wonderful mother. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. A Graveside Service will be at Hamilton Cemetery on Wednesday, March 1st at 2:30pm.
