Kenneth Burroughs

Kenneth Burroughs of Springfield, Arkansas passed away on January 4th, 2017 at his home on the mountain surrounded by his loving family and friends. Ken was born on March 1st, 1956 to Eugene and Jewel Oliver Burroughs in Camden, Arkansas. Ken was preceded in death by his father Eugene, brother Steve, mother-in-law Margie Adams Knight, fathers-in-law, Robert Adams and Herbert Knight, sister-in-law, Syble Kandlbinder, and nephew, Justin Phillips. Ken is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Rose, mother Jewel Burroughs, sisters, April (Charlie) Clark and Debbie (Jeff) Phillips, daughter, Lyndsey (Michael) Howland, sons, Adam (Fayla) Cunningham and Joseph (Priscilla) Cunningham, and grandchildren, Gavin, Gabriella, Joey, Isabella, Lillie, and Bentley. Ken will always be remembered for his love of God, family, work, many friends, and his special buddy Crush. He was a retired traveling construction superintendent who worked from coast to coast leaving his mark of beautiful structures and the respect of his peers and clients over a 43-year career. Ken leaves many solid friendships developed through his travels in construction. Ken was a rock and roller who enjoyed the open air of his Harley, loud music of Pink Floyd, and the joy of building construction projects from the dirt breaking to the dust mop. Special thanks to Lisa Gerhardt, Carla Cooper, Meredith Beck, Diane Brandt, Terry Crumpler, and the staff of Hospice Home Care for the compassionate care and attention these last few weeks. The family will receive friends at Proctor's Saturday from 5 until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Proctor Funeral Home with Lyle Hern and Larry Goza officiating.
