Joye Murry, 95, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017. She was born in Mt. Moriah on April 23, 1921. She was a life-long learner and an active member of First Assembly of God Church in North Little Rock where she served as a Sunday School teacher, Missionette leader, choir member, soloist, children's choir director, and for 52 years served as the church librarian. She was employed by the Little Rock Public Library as a cataloger. During World War II, she worked at the proving grounds at Camp Robinson testing ammunition. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Carroll Murry, and a son, David Murry. She is survived by her three daughters, Charlotte Sieler (Luis), Betty Booth (James), Sarah Childers (Duane), and one son Greg (Karen). She had 10 adoring grandchildren and 16 wonderful great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at First Assembly of God in North Little Rock. Burial will be at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from Tuesday, 6–8 p.m. at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street in North Little Rock.
