Lula Mae Walters, age 87, of Lonoke, passed away January 10, 2017. Lula was born to the late Ollie and Pauline Guthrie. She will be remembered as a loving mother who was full of laughter. She was a hard worker who enjoyed gardening and eating out at restaurants. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock and loved her church dearly. Lula is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Danny Walters; sons, Steven, Michael, and Tommy Alexander; son-In-Law, Douglas Bishop; daughter-In-Law, Connie Alexander; granddaughter, Mandy Alexander; sister, Martha Dean; and brothers, George and Walter. She is survived by her sons, Barry and Dale Alexander; daughters, Connie Geurink (Dennis) and Jerri Bishop; grandchildren Jeffrey and Corey Geurink, Kelli Soto, Misty, Rhonda, Matthew, Kirk, Zack, James, Michael, and Serena Alexander, Kimberly Tipton, Valerie Stinnett, and Steven Bishop; sisters, Charlene, Virginia, and Jeanette; and Daughter-In-Law, Barbara Alexander. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, January 13, 2017 at First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock with burial at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service under the direction of Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd. (501-791-7400).
