David W. Dudey, 94, of Bentonville, Arkansas, died Thursday, December 8, 2016, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born July 8, 1922, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Gwendolyn and Rudolph Dudey. David served in the United States Army 78th Division during WWII. He was the Chapter Leader for the John Birch Society and active in the American Legion. David enjoyed reading, maps, and playing Bridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Paul. David was survived by his wife of 69 years, Shirley Dudey, until January 12, 2017. Shirley B. Dudey, 89, of Bentonville, Arkansas, died Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Bradford House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bentonville. She was born December 30, 1927, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the daughter of Cornelius "Neal" Benoy and Grace Benoy. Shirley was a self-titled "Fuller Brush Man" and Avon salesperson, attended Ripon College where she met her husband of 69 years, David W. Dudey, and served for three terms on the Lodi, Wisconsin, School District Board of Education. Shirley enjoyed reading, sewing, making greeting cards for church and others, volunteering with the Bella Vista Toy and Clothing Project, and playing Bridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Dudey, her parents. David and Shirley were members of First Christian Church of Rogers, Arkansas, and the Disciples' Sunday School Class for many years. They were preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara and Joan, and one son, George. David and Shirley are survived by one nephew, Jeff Dudey, of Las Vegas, Nevada. A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church, 905 S. 13th Street, Rogers, Arkansas, at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2017. Donations in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Dudey may be made to the First Christian Church (Rogers, Arkansas), John Birch Society, Ripon College (Ripon, Wisconsin) or the American Legion.
