Kermit Lavell Maddox

Kermit Lavell Maddox, 79, of Pine Bluff, passed away, Wednesday January 11, 2017. Born May 21, 1937 at Lake Village, he was a son of the late J.D. Maddox and Mattie Barnett Maddox. Mr. Maddox was a family man, a protector both personally and professionally, he worked in security at Jefferson Regional Medical Center and as a Pine Bluff Police Department Auxiliary Officer. He later continued to work with the Red Cross well into his retirement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Barbara Lindley Maddox; three brothers, David, Edward and Sammy Maddox; and an infant daughter, Elizabeth Rene. Mr. Maddox is survived by his current wife, Betty Hamilton Maddox, whom he married June 20, 1992; daughters, Deborah Herring (Rod) & Toni Painter (Walter); sons, Kenneth Maddox (Carolyn), Marty Maddox, and Chris Maddox (Cheryl); sisters, Velma King, Billie Looney & Judy Redmon; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends. Graveside Services will be Saturday, January 14th, 3 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, 5-7 p.m. at Fuller Hale South Funeral Home. Online condolences: FullerFunerals.com.
