Edith Leoma Pack

Edith Leoma Pack, 87, of Rogers passed away January 18, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. She was born August 23, 1929 in Red Star, Ark. She was the daughter of William and Mable Spears Barnes. Edith and L.D. raised their children on the farm until his sickness that led them to Huntsville. She learned nursing skills which enabled her to provide for her children. After her marriage to Roscoe Pack, Edith was able to be a homemaker at their farm in Lowell. She and Roscoe were married for 43 wonderful years. Edith was active in her church, First Baptist in Lowell, serving as Sunday School teacher and choir member. She really enjoyed the visitation ministry that she and Virginia Schrader started at church because Edith really loved being with people. Edith was preceded in death by her first husband, L.D. Smith of Huntsville; her second husband, Roscoe Pack of Lowell; her parents; six siblings, Marjorie Malone, Lena Smothers Baker, Howard Barnes, Chell Barnes, Gerald Barnes and Doyle Barnes; and one son-in-law, Larry Terry of Branch, Ark. She is survived by her husband, Leslie Knackstedt of Rogers; one son, Garry Smith and wife, Nancy; two daughters, Jeanne Philips and husband, Bard and Eva Bishop and husband, Joe all of Lowell; one sister, Evelyn Stamps; one brother, Dale Barnes; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2017 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Lowell, 409 Johnson Ave., Lowell, Ark. 72745.
