Mary Ann Tompkins

Mary Ann Tompkins of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on January 16, 2017. She was born in Houston, Texas, on February 6, 1934, to Katherine and Harold Wickline. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, George W. Tompkins. She is also survived by her daughter, her two sons and their wives. She was known as Big Mama to her six grandchildren and their families, including six great-grandchildren. Mary Ann was an avid reader, loved dogs and spending time with her family. She raised her family in Dallas, Texas, and worked for the Dallas Independent School District for many years before retiring to northwestern Arkansas.
