William E. Butler

WILLIAM E. BUTLER, age 75, of North Little Rock, Ark., passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born June 4, 1941 in Perryville, Ark., a son of Burtis Butler and Mildred Baswell Butler. He served in the Navy on the submarine USS Sennet. After graduating from Henderson State he worked for Goodwill Industries, and retired from the State of Arkansas Office of Child Support. After retirement he enjoyed training horses. He is survived by his wife, Glenna Waters Butler; son, Jay (Lisa) Butler of Springdale, Ark.; daughter, Sandy (Mark) Austen of North Little Rock; grandkids, Emily Butler, Skyler and Sydney Austen; brothers, Don Butler, Gary (Sherry) Butler; sister, Carolyn Butler, all of Perryville; and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Leroy and Glenn Butler. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, at Journey Church in Perryville, Ark., with Mr. Danny Barker officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday, at the church.
