Roy Eugene Williams Jr.

Roy Eugene "Bud" Williams Jr. of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 18, 1957 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of Shirley Ann Mann Williams and the late Roy E. Williams, Sr. He was a member of East End Baptist Church and a graduate of Sheridan High School Class of 1975. His family called him "Mr. Wonderful" because of his willingness to help others. He was a Project Manager in construction for homes and commercial buildings. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working, writing poetry and singing. Bud died Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at his home at the age of 60. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joe David Williams and a sister, Phyllis Ann Williams. Survivors: mother, Shirley Williams of East End; sons, Casey Williams of East End, Cody Williams of Little Rock, Thomas and wife Nathalie Williams of Russellville, Jarrett Willis of Sheridan; daughter, Caitlin Willis of Haskell; brothers, Michael and wife Jeanie Williams of Forsyth, Missouri, Dennis and wife Donna Williams of East End, Paul and wife Tracy Williams of East End; sister, Paula Jean and husband Mark Hinkson of Haskell; best friend and companion for 16 years, Barbara Gibbs of Sheridan; grandchildren, Alex Avalos, Emma Elizabeth Gallion, Gavin Christopher Gallion, Addison Grace Coppocke and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Salem Cemetery in East End with his brother, Michael Williams officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 4-6 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Texarkana Baptist Children's Home, 5401 East 9th, Texarkana, Arkansas 71854. Pallbearers will be his sons and his brothers.
