Arlis M. Porterfield

Arlis M. Porterfield, age 73, of Jacksonville went to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 9, 2017. He was born April 15, 1944 in Richmond, California to the late Clarence and Eathel Porterfield. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, David Porterfield. Mr. Porterfield was a retired shop teacher for Pulaski County Special School District. He also enjoyed woodworking, oil painting, camping and fishing with his brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Danielle Porterfield, his sister, Kate Shinn, his brother, Ray Porterfield, brother-in-law, Dennis Hawthorne, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot with Bro. Terry Fortner officiating. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501) 982-2136.
