Mary Sue Pettus

Mary Sue Jackson Pettus, age 84, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017. She was born October 13, 1932 in Morrilton, Arkansas, a daughter of Cecil Everett Jackson and Minnie Kimberlin Jackson. She was the widow of Cecil Gene Pettus. Mary was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell and a member of Conway First Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Suellen Kirk; sister, Shirley Bean of Plumerville; three grandchildren, Amanda Kirk, Payton (Kyle) Taber, and Morgan Kirk; and four great grandchildren, Marlee, Lily, and Owen Taber and Zaylor Leidholm. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Cecil Gene Pettus, Jr. and sisters, Pauline Cupp and Clara Moore. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 13, at Elmwood Cemetery with Dr. Dale Wicker officiating. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
