Roger Clinton Robertson, 87, of Searcy, passed away from this earth to his heavenly home on July 13, 2017. He was a member of the West Side Church of Christ. He was born in Brownsville, Ark., on June 7, 1930 to Ray and Faye Robertson . He graduated from Dermott High School in 1948. He met and married the love of his life, Mae Turner in 1950. They lived and raised their three children in Dermott where he owned a trucking company until moving to Booneville where they lived, raised cattle, and enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren. His grand kids especially loved fishing and "hunting for bears" with Pops! He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mae Elizabeth (Turner) Robertson; a brother, Donald Rex Robertson; daughters, Dianne (Robertson) Sammons, husband Ricky; and Loretta (Robertson) Hydrick and husband Guy; and son Donald Gene Robertson; Grandchildren Josh and Marcie Hydrick, Justin and Emily Hydrick, Matt and Jenny Sammons, Jon and Meredith (Sammons) Bryan, and Scott Sammons; Roger was also very proud of his seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Faye Robertson; and sister Maxine (Robertson) Golden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Searcy Childrens Home. Visitation will be Monday from 9 -10 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
