Goldie Irene Farmer, 83, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away July 23, 2017. Goldie was born February 11, 1934 to Thomas J. Collins and Mildred Mae Smith Collins in Piercetown, Ark. Goldie was a member of Faith Full Gospel Church. She loved to play guitar and sing in the church, grew beautiful gardens, liked to bowl, and taught many people how to play the guitar. She retired from First Brands Corporation. Goldie was preceded in death by her husband, William Otis Farmer, her parents, a daughter Denise Jones and son-in-law Larry Jones Sr., a son, Arlis Graham, her grandson, William Jones, two brothers, Eugene and James Collins, and her sister, Joylene Collins. Goldie is survived by two sons, Don Farmer (Carol) of Bella Vista and Dale Farmer (Brenda) of Knoblick, Ky., a daughter, Delores Overton (Steve) of Bentonville, grandchildren, Terae Reader (George), Jeremy Farmer (Lindsey), Cory Farmer, Jessie Jones, Larry Jones Jr., Stormie Bross, Matt Rawlins, Callie Graham, Megan Martin, 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. Services will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017, 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, Ark. Service will be officiated by Bro. Kelly Yarbrough. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Phillips Cemetery Fund, c/o Marlene Sands, 478 Shores Ave., Cave Springs, Ark. 72718.
