Jimmy Griswood, 68, of North Little Rock, Arkansas arrived in heaven on July 25, 2017. His family was with him as he passed. He was born in Morrilton, Arkansas on August 20, 1948 to James Forrest and Reba Griswood. He is preceded in death by his father, Forrest. Jim honorably served in the United States Marine Corps, H Company, 1st Battalion, 2nd Infantry during 1969-1970. After serving in the Marine Corps, he enjoyed competing in heading and healing rodeo events. Jim worked in the fiberglass industry for many years and retired from the State as grounds supervisor at PEC-Camp Robinson National Guard Base. He volunteered coaching his daughters' basketball teams at "Little" St. Mary's in North Little Rock. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed deer hunting, maintaining his lawn business and family vacations in Florida. Jim was diagnosed with cancer and suffered from complications resulting from cancer treatments. He was a warrior until the very end. Jim was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. Left to cherish his memory is his loving family, wife Louann Griswood; son, Lance Griswood; daughters, Lyndsi Griswood and Katrina Atwood (Brandon); mother, Reba Griswood; siblings, Sandra McDonnell (Dr. Eddie McDonnell), Janis Winfrey (Larry), Kathy Zimmerman, Johnny Griswood (Yvonne); grandchildren, Maddie and Marlee and other extended family. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 29th at the Brockington Road Church of the Nazarene, 9860 Brockington Rd., Sherwood. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, July 28th at the Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., NLR. Burial will be at Mt.
