Thomas "Tom" Everett Easley, 77, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Thursday July 27, 2017 at Mercy Hospital. Tom was born in Madisonville, Ky., at Hopkins County Hospital on Aug. 30, 1939 to Mary Louise and Al Easley. He graduated from Bowling Green High School and attended Western Kentucky University. He proudly served his country in the Air Force, where he worked as a crew member of the Looking Glass Command Post in the Strategic Air Command. He moved to the private sector and worked for Rockwell Collins for 23 years where he retired. Tom and Fran moved to Rogers to find a little warmer weather and a chance to play more golf. They even bought a boat and did a little fishing. He quickly got involved in the Elk's where he served as an officer and on the Board of Trustees. He also was actively involved at the American Legion Post 100. Tom loved working on the Honor Guard and was elected the Post Commander serving three years. Tom enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, tennis and Nebraska Football (he did eventually warm up to the Razorbacks). He was a great family man and loved to make people laugh. His friends were very important to him and he will be missed by them here and around the country. Tom is survived by his wife Fran, his son Tom Jr. and his wife Jean, son Beau, and son Brandon of West Des Moines, Iowa; his sister Phyllis and her husband Howard of Indianapolis, Indiana; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved cat Romeo. Graveside services 11 a.m. Thursday; Aug. 3, 2017 in the Fayetteville National Cemetery. will full military honors by the Rogers American Legion Post 100.
