Willis Gray

WILLIS GRAY, 76, of Maumelle Ark., formerly of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2017, after a long and painful illness. Our hearts are broken, and we will forever miss his wit, zest for life and laughter. However, we are comforted knowing he is now with the angels in Heaven and at peace. Willis was a wonderful and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He owned a successful furniture business and retired at an early age to enjoy his latter years and spend time with his wife, only daughter and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gray; a daughter and son-in-law, Lesli and John Hugg; two grandchildren, Anna and Matthew Hugg. He is predeceased by his grandson, John Alexander Hugg, and by his parents, Autie and Neville Gray. For family and friends who live in Little Rock, a Visitation and Celebration of his life will be at the home of John and Lesli Hugg, on Monday, June 5, 5:30-8:00 p.m., with music and remarks beginning 6:30-7 p.m. Any friend or family member who wishes to speak is invited to do so. For Jonesboro friends and family, Visitation will be at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 6, from 1:30-2:30 p.m., with the funeral immediately thereafter. The funeral will be led by Dr. Jimmy Adcox, but any friend or family member who wishes will have an opportunity to say a remembrance about Willis. Interment will be at Keller's Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a contribution in his memory to your favorite charity.
