Gayland C. King, 85 of Cabot, Ark., departed this life on June 3, 2017. He was born on Dec. 18, 1931 in Caraway, Ark. He was a graduate of Lepanto High School and a proud supporter of East Poinsett County Warriors. Gayland was the owner of Riverside Box Supply & Kings Mini Storage in Little Rock since 1968. In 1990, Gayland and his wife moved to West Memphis, Ark., to expand Riverside Box to Memphis, Tenn. They were active members of Marion Church of God. In 2016, due to failing health they moved to Cabot, Ark., to be closer to family. He was a great husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, but more importantly he was a Christian man always giving thanks to the Lord for his many blessings. Gaylands work ethic was that of no other. He strongly believed that there was no substitute for a good hard day's work. Gayland is survived by his loving wife, of 64 years, Helen (Miles) King; two sons, John King of Haleyville, Ala., Kenneth King (Debbie) of Cabot, Ark.; two brothers, Ray King (Barbara), Dennis Beebe both of Benton, Ark.; one sister, Crystal Anstett (Doug) of Peoria, Ariz.; one grandson, Clint King; three granddaughters, Kristen Crabb, Whitney Tappan, Channing Emerson; four great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Gayland is preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley King and Lacie Ann (Wadley) Beebe. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggest, memorials be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, Ark., 72203. Celebration of life services will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F.
