Clarence Baker

Clarence Baker, 93, longtime area resident, died Sunday, June 4, 2017 at home in Pineville, Missouri. He was born October 31, 1923 in Springdale. Clarence served in the Army during WWII and was honored with a Purple Heart. He was a member of Harbor of Praise in Bella Vista. He was preceded in death by two wives, Verla (Bowlin) Baker and Annis (Sizemore) Baker; a son, Danny Baker, and the parents who raised him, Fannie and Lee Whittle. He is survived by 11 children, Judy Foulk and husband Darrell, Gordon Baker and wife Susie, Veda Lahr and husband Joe, Johnny Baker and wife Darlene, Doris George and husband Ricky, Brenda Freeman and husband Lawrence, Terry Baker and wife Arlena, Gary Baker, Larry Meeks, Tina Duncan and husband David, Jeannie Fiori and husband Mark; 25 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 9, at Mercy and Grace Cathedral. Interment with military honors will be at Burkshed Cemetery.
