Kenneth Eugene Murphy, age 90, of Fayetteville, went to heaven on June 4, 2017 at the Palliative Care Veterans Hospital. He was born December 21, 1926 in Tuttle, Arkansas, the son of Roy Franklin and Ola Mae Johnson Murphy. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Sherman Murphy, Winford Murphy and Daniel Murphy; a sister, Lillian Boaz and a granddaughter, Julie Lynn Murphy. He was a retired chicken farmer and a member of Round Mountain Missionary Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Betty Marie Tomlinson Murphy; two sons, Danny E. Murphy and wife Wanueta of Fayetteville, Bobby Joe Murphy and wife Peggy of Fayetteville; a sister, Cuba Pifer and husband Harlan of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Amanda Speck and Roger Speck, Tera Murphy, Clint Murphy and four great-grandchildren, Weston Speck, Wyatt Speck, Walker Speck and Autumn Murphy and a host of friends and relatives. Pallbearers will be Clint Murphy, Roger Speck, John Cooksey, Mike Murphy, Tommy Murphy and Rick Boaz. Visitation will be 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Moore's Chapel.
