Roberta Ella Kirkland

Roberta Ella Kirkland, 78, of Springdale, died Saturday, June 3, 2017. She was born April 8, 1939 in Balch, Arkansas, to William Edward "Buck" and Cora Ann (Milam) Jenner. Roberta had the heart of a servant. She enjoyed cooking and keeping her home tidy. She was devoted to her family and loved doting on her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen "Sonny" Kirkland, Sr. in 2009, and by three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by four children, John Allen Kirkland Jr. and wife Dawn of Springdale, Brenda Watson and husband Donnie of Hindsville, David Kirkland and wife Crystal of Springdale, Kristina Parr and husband Mike of Batesville; one brother, Therlo Jenner of Michigan City, Indiana; three sisters, Geraldine Vyzcindiak of Forrest City, Ernestine Taylor of Yorktown, Indiana, Carolyn Jenner of Michigan City, Indiana; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, at Faith Assembly of God Church. Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery.
