DeMona Mae Beasley Reeves, 84, of Ozark, Arkansas, died peacefully at her home Monday, June 5, 2017 in Ozark. She was a retired bookkeeper and Master Geneologist, a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, a member and former State President and State Chaplain of American Legion Women's Auxiliary, a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader and member of Extension Homemakers Club for 59 years. She was born November 9, 1932 in Mt. Rosetta Community of Johnson County, Arkansas to Quinton Dillard and Pearl Wetherington Beasley. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to countless families. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Reeves Sr.; her parents, Quinton and Pearl Beasley; two grandsons, Trent Brouhard and SFC Bo Swearingin. DeMona is survived by two sons, Jerry "S'kosh" Reeves, Jr. and wife Robin of Ozark, and James Reeves and wife Ginger also of Ozark; three daughters, Jaquita Neil and husband Mark of Springdale, Arkansas, Jannie Layne and husband Danny also of Springdale, and JoDee Brouhard and husband Bob of Avoca, Arkansas; a sister Juanita Dickerson and husband Bob of Clarksville, Arkansas; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Family will visit with friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, June 8th at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark. Serving as pallbearers are Danny Layne, Aubrey Issac, Mark Neil, Joe Hahn, Will Porter, Hank Sutherland, and Gary Sutherland Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Brouhard and Tom Jones. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tim Culver officiating and burial at Woodland Cemetery in Clarksville under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
