Retired Master Sergeant, Jon E. Presley, 54, passed away June 6, 2017 at his home in Bella Vista, Ark. He was born in Japan at Tachikawa Air Force Base on April 24, 1963; he was the son of Bill and Patsy Presley. He graduated from Bentonville High School in 1981. Upon graduation, Jon enlisted in the U.S.A.F. and proudly served over 20 years before retiring. His military service took him to Texas, Korea, Montana and Maryland. While stationed at the Malmstrom Air Force Base, he was a supervisor in the 341st Strategic Missile Wing. Jon's last assignment while stationed in Washington D.C. was working with the Surgeon General on continuing education programs. Jon was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He will be remembered for his love of country, family and friends. Jon never met a stranger, and his gift of storytelling was second to none. An avid golfer, he frequented the course any chance he got. Jon is survived by his wife, Glenda; his brothers, Jerry Presley and wife, Beth of Bentonville, Rick Presley and wife, Laura of Carthage, Mo., sister, Starla Turner and husband, David of Lowell, Ark.; his children, Miranda Pherigo and husband, Tom of Webb City, Mo., Mallory Martinez and husband, Joey of Anderson, Mo.; his step-children, Kelly Trotter and husband, James of Rogers, Robert Dwyer of Centerton; several grandchildren and countless cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Lillie Presley, Robert and Beulah Mullins and his parents, Bill and Patsy Presley. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, June 9th at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers with Pastor Rodney Holmstrom officiating. Full military honors will be provided. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
