Clara Mae Raper

Clara Mae Raper, 99, of Lonoke born on Dec. 21, 1917 in Humnoke, Ark., passed from this life on June 17 2017. She was a member of Bayou Meto Baptist church. She loved gardening and cooking. Many enjoyed her chicken and dressing and you could not drop by to visit without her cooking you a meal. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Rosa Mae Bone, her husband Murl, two sons Carl and Billy Carol, eight brothers Elmer, William, J.D, Paul James, Charles, Harold Dean, and Jerrell Loyd, and three sisters Grace, Otrah, and Louise. She is survived by son Larry, six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. Visitation is June 19 from 6-8 p.m. at Boyd Funeral home in Lonoke. Funeral service is June 20th at 1 p.m. Bayou Meto Baptist Church, followed by burial at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.
